Most of our customers want the "hardgoods" version of Hazel. This is for stores which plan to sell goods that will be shipped to the customer. You can find the latest version of hardgoods Hazel at one of the following locations.
If you have trouble with any of the ftp sites given in this document, try using "ftp2.netsville.com" instead.
Also available is a "softgoods" version for those who will not be selling shippable goods, but rather goods which can be downloaded immediately after purchased. This version has no provisions for shipping, so download it only if you plan to sell downloadable digital goods exclusively! You'll find the latest version of softgoods Hazel at one of the following locations.
What's the difference between the zipped and the "tarred" versions? One is archived as a PC-standard zip file, while the other uses the primarily UNIX-based tar and gzip programs. If you'll be downloading Hazel onto a PC or a Mac, you probably want the zip file. The text files within the zip archive are stored in the PC format, which should be easily readable by both Macs and PCs. The files in the tar.gz are stored in the UNIX format, which means that less sophisticated PC and Mac editors might interpret them as one long line!
Both of the above distributions contain executable programs for every platform supported by Hazel, and thus are suitable for any type of installation. If you intend to run the Hazel CGI program on a Microsoft Windows system to which you have physical access, then download our Win32 installation program from the following location.
